The Movies & Meaning festival is a beautiful addition to the Asheville community exploration of creativity, community, and the common good. It takes place February 21-23, and features screenings, conversations, and other activities all centered on how to learn and share a better story, contributing to a better world.
This year the festival will be showcasing movies that speak profoundly about radical nonviolence, creative spirituality, and the joy of being alive even amidst difficult circumstances. Special guests include beloved author Kathleen Norris, three time world poetry slam champion Buddy Wakefield, and justice doula Micky ScottBey Jones.
We love the Warren Wilson community and want to offer a massively discounted registration fee. The standard registration fee for the full weekend is $179, but anyone from the WWC community, students, faculty and staff alike, can register below on a pay-what-you-can basis, with a very low suggested fee of $49 for students and $79 for faculty/staff for full weekend registration, and $10 students/$20 faculty/staff per screening. If those amounts are beyond your means for now, contact us to learn more about payment plans or to register to pay-what-you-can-afford at the event itself.
